Kent tells national talk show host: “We are changing people’s lives.”
During an interview with popular radio show host Maggie Linton, SunFrog CEO and Founder Josh Kent detailed that while his company produces and ships more than 10,000 t-shirts a day, SunFrog is also quickly becoming one of the world’s leaders in the new “social digital economy.”
Kent pointed out to Linton’s listeners that the stereotypical geeky, tech-savvy person isn’t required to succeed with the SunFrog platform.
“We have these high school kids, that are making more than their parents. We even have some high school kids making more than doctors and lawyers, because they really know how to leverage social media,” said Kent. “It’s not like you think, that these kids are some sort of whiz kids, or super geeks, they just have social followings. If you have thousands of followers on Instagram or thousands of friends on Facebook you are a great candidate to be a great t-shirt seller with SunFrog.”
That statement led to an enthusiastic host and her callers seeing the potential for themselves or their children to utilize the SunFrog affiliate system.
“The cool thing about our business model is that if you have a t-shirt idea you come to our website, you design that t-shirt idea and it becomes available via our search, by category and if someone out there buys your t-shirt you make a little more than a dollar, each and every time that shirt is sold,” said Kent. “Then what is really cool about our model is that if you sell a t-shirt to your friends, family, and others by sharing the link, then we pay you about eight dollars every time it sells. So if you’re selling your own design you make about nine dollars a shirt. That’s the platform part of it, that’s the magic that has put SunFrog into this crazy growth we have had over the past few years. It’s because of the platform element that anyone can design a shirt and anyone can sell any of the shirts and everyone makes out well.”
After hearing about how struggling artists are now able to sell their work or the entry level administrative assistant whose shirt design generated $10,000 for her in one month, Linton stated, “You are helping people gain financial security and independence by helping them develop a small business!”
“We are changing people’s lives,” said Kent. “There is a new social economy that is right at our fingertips, by selling and profiting socially. Selling consumer to consumer, friend to friend, family to family, that is the new social economy. At SunFrog we are leveraging this new economy to its fullest and the great thing is anyone can partner with us through our affiliate program.”
